Default Amazon Affiliate / Custom Field

Ok, I went ahead and bought another copy for a new client site. I have now installed, and want to add an Amazon Affiliation link to the site.

Here's the review example:

http://www.christianmom.com/forums/s...ad.php?p=16651

I have created a custom field for the ISBN (ASIN#), so the user enters that information. (to help the actual link to Amazon)

How do I know create a custom field that uses that ISBN number to create a link, so when a user clicks on the link it takes them to Amazon (with my affialite link) Any ideas? Looked in the tutorials, but do not see this... Does a Link Snippet work?

Other related question, is that on Amazon you can create a product block from this code:

Quote:
<iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=affilaiteidhere&o=1&p=8&l=as1&asins=B0002BQR6 S&fc1=000000&IS2=1&lt1=_blank&lc1=0000FF&bc1=00000 0&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr" style="width:120px;height:240px;" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0"></iframe>
How can I pass the ISBN/ASIN number to this simple code, and then how to I make this a custom module/block on the page...

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Might be the same thing Frank is looking for, but after re-reading his post - I wasn't sure.

Thanks -
InterFX

Not yet, there are a few threads regarding this right now. When I get some more time I will put something together.

I took a quick stab at how this could be done in the other thread. I doubt it is perfect, but it is a pretty good start. Check there

I want this to be Admins only. I checked the template GARS_newthread but there's no condition about it. Could you tell me where to look for that kind of condition?

Would be great, thanks!
