Geek Article and Review System License Holder
Default issue

In my custom fields module, I had the first three as images, then text boxes. I moved one of the images to appear last, after the text, but it is still appearing first, even in new posts. When you make the post it is in the correct place, then the post is made, it's at the top. If you click edit, you can see it in the right place. Have run tools, created new posts, nothing.

Did you move the order of it in the custom fields page? If so, can you provide a link?

Yes, I did, and I just checked again. It is last for that sequence, but still shows first when posting. You can log in and see in the admin forum, the admin password is still active. I replied to a post in there with what is happening. Thanks

I checked it out. Basically if you change the order of the fields - you then need to re-save your custom fields settings as that is where the 'final' order (so to speak) is stored.

I don't understand. Yes, I changed the order, and yes I clicked save, otherwise that order wouldn't have showed the change.

PS - it was showing wrong only in the display, it was correct when you make a post. Not sure what I was doing wrong. Please clarify. Thanks

the custom fields module stores the order at the time you last save it. You didnt do anything wrong - it just isnt very obvious

If you change the order of the custom fields, you need to edit the custom fields module to resave and recache the order.
