Weird Bug, Author can't edit thread
Ok, reinstalled gars,
i moved a normal vb thread into a gar's forum. The user who posted it, everytime he wants to edit, he edits once, then after that he can't do it anymore. The edit button doesn't appear. I had to make him a mod of that forum for him to edit it. When i try to edit the thread after he edits it once...the "Posted as User" info is missing as well as the "featured dates" They all been wiped out for some reason after he edits it. The weird thing is he doesn't have those permission to set "posted as user" or "featured dates" And he is the original author. This thread has like 100+ comments though. So maybe it screwed up the conversion some how? http://www.flyffworld.com/forums/sho...d.php?p=264942 Here's the thread. Edit: Also when i add in the featured dates, the posted user, again, and then he edits, it dissappears again Last edited by azn_romeo_4u; 05-11-2007 at 08:25 AM.. |

Is there a time restriction on editing content? This is a vb setting and gars has the ability to override the setting. check there first.
As far as seeing the options, then not - I am wondering if your mod is tweaking with that? Otherwise I cant see why he would be able to ever see those options |

I explained that wrong. Mods can't see those options.
I still have this error after i remove his mod status from the forum. I edit the thread, and the featured dates are missing, and so is the post as username. this happens right when he edits it the first time. So basically he can't edit his own article without being a mod. Also there is no time limit restraint. |

Prior to him editting, when i edit with an admin account it looks like this
posted user Sno featured date jan 10, 2008 After he, Sno, edits it it becomes like this posted user: blank featured date: jan 10,2008 Also, even though the featured date is set for next year, the featured box doesn't show on the forumdisplay.php page. So then i have to go into his account as admin again, and the posted user as "sno" Once i do that, the featured article things come back. But again once he edits it, it dissappears, and he can't edit anymore. |
